    Applied neuroanatomy: of brain and spinal cord, blood supply, connections of cerebellum and extra pyramidal tracts, relationship of spinal nerves to spinal cord segments, cranial nerves and plexuses(in Brief) Applied physiology: basis / disorders of tone, muscle contraction & movement, posture, bladder and bowel control, level of lesion – in brief.
  • NEUROLOGICAL ASSESSMENT 06 [8 Hours]: Principles of clinical examination, diagnosis and differential diagnosis Assessment of higher mental function, cranial nerves, motor and sensory system, tone, cerebellar function,Investigative procedures in neurological conditions (in brief)t

  • CHILDHOOD NEUROLOGICAL DISORDERS [04 hours]:Classification, causes, clinical presentation, investigations,complications, medical and surgical management of Cerebral Palsy, Down’s syndrome, Autism, Hydrocephalus, Epilepsy SECTION –SECTION – II: OBSTETRICS & GYNECOLOGY[30 Hours]
    • GYNECOLOGICAL CONDITIONS 12[6 Hours]:Physiology of puberty and menstruation, hormonal regulation of menstruation,Classification of menstrual abnormalities, clinical presentation,diagnosis and management,Classification, causes, clinical presentation, diagnosis and management of Urogenital dysfunctions – Uterine prolapse,Cystocele, Rectocele, Enterocele, Urethrocele,Indications, principles, pre and post-surgical management of common gynecological surgeries – Pelvic floor repairs,Hysterectomy, Hysterosalphingography,Causes, clinical presentation, diagnosis and management of pelvic inflammatory diseases,Physiology, complications and management of pre, peri and postmenopausalsymptoms.
    • PREGNANCY AND LABOR [18 hours]:Diagnosis of pregnancy, Development of fetus, physiological changes during pregnancy, prenatal complications, diagnosis and management,High risk pregnancy, Eclampsia, Diabetes Mellitus, Anaemia –diagnosis and management,Stages and events of normal labor,Types of Surgical procedures of labor, post-operative care – Assisted Delivery, Episiotomy, Forceps delivery, Caeserian section,Complications during labor and its management,Postnatal complications and its management, Puerperium and lactation, complications of multiple or repeated child bearing.Medical termination of pregnancy – types, complications and management.
    • Complication common to all operations. [2 Hours]
    • Abdominal incisions [2 Hours]
    • Physiotherapy in pre and post operative stages. [4 Hours]
    • Operations of upper G.I. Tract – esophagus, stomach, duodenum. [4 Hours]
    • Operations of large and small intestine [6 Hours]: Appendicectomy, cholecystectomy, partial colectomy, colostomy, ileostomy, hernia and herniotomy, hernioraphy, hernioplasty.
    • Burns and its treatment [5 Hours]: physiotherapy in burns, skin graft, and reconstructive surgeries.
    • ENT [3 Hours]: sinusitis, non suppurative and chronic suppurative otitis media, otosclerosis, labrynthitis, mastoidectomy, chronic rhinitis, laryngectomy, pharyngeo-laryngectomy, facial palsy.
    • Oncology [8 Hours]: Etiology, stages and types of cancer developments; Clinical manifestations, Diagnosis of cancer; Physiotherapy examination and treatment of specific representative cancers: Breast and lung cancer.
